# How PieFolio AI Works

PieFolio AI turns your holdings into a Health Score, an AI-written analysis,
and a forward-looking dividend calendar in three steps.

## 1. Add your holdings

Add your holdings yourself in the app. Free includes 1 portfolio with up to 25 holdings. We do not connect to brokers. Dividends and yield on cost then update automatically.

## 2. Get your Health Score

PieFolio recalculates a 0–100 Portfolio Health Score on every change. The score
covers:

- **Risk** — concentration, volatility, drawdown exposure.
- **Diversification** — sector, geography, asset-class spread.
- **Income** — dividend coverage, yield quality, growth.

## 3. Generate AI analysis

Tap **Generate** to produce a structured report from your live positions:
Overview, Risk, Diversification, Income, and "What to consider". Reports are
cached for ~12 hours. Free includes 3 AI portfolio analyses per month. Premium includes unlimited AI analysis under [fair use](https://getpiefolio.com/terms#fair-use).

- AI Chat is live: 5 messages per month on Free, 300 on Premium.
- Dividend calendar: next 7 days on Free, up to 365 days with Premium.
- Plain-English explanations of every metric.

Free includes 1 portfolio with up to 25 holdings, 3 AI portfolio analyses per month, 5 AI chat messages per month, and a dividend calendar for the next 7 days.

Premium is one access level, sold as Premium Monthly, Premium Annual, or a limited one-time, non-renewing Founding Lifetime purchase. Premium includes 300 AI chat messages per month, unlimited AI portfolio analysis under [fair use](https://getpiefolio.com/terms#fair-use), and a dividend calendar up to 365 days ahead.

The 7-day free trial is offered on Premium Annual only, for eligible users confirmed by Apple or Google. Prices are shown in the app at purchase. Automatic broker sync is not offered; users add their holdings themselves.
